2000
- At the Cebit show in Hannover the new KOBRA 240 range is introduced on the market. Six different models are in this line. The KOBRA 240 shredders are the first units on the market with the power to shred CD-Roms and Floppy Disks.



2001
- All KOBRA shredders starting from model KOBRA 240 are now equipped with a special 24 hours continuous duty motor which allows continuous shredding operations without any overheating or duty cycle which are affecting most of the products available on the market.
- At the Paperworld trade show many new products are launched:

 

  • The new KOBRA S-50 shredder. This model is intended to be used next to the desk and is equipped with a special waste basket which separates the shredded paper from the regular office waste combining the use of a waste basket and of a paper shredding machine
  • A new A3 guillotine named KOBRA 430-EM

- At the Cebit fair in Hannover model KOBRA 400 WB is presented. Suitable for centralized shredding operations. Just empty the office waste baskets into its hopper and the 400WB will automatically shred the confidential papers contained in the office baskets through rotating flaps which are feeding the paper into the machine.
- ELCOMAN establishes its own branch KOBRA JAPAN in Tokyo.
- Models KOBRA 390 S5 and KOBRA 390 C4 are added to the existing KOBRA range.
- The presidents and the Prime Minister of Italy, United States of America, France, Canada, Japan, Russia, and Germany have in use a special Kobra 240 HS - High Security shredder to protect their documents and data during the G8 summit.



2002
- One of the most sophisticated technologies is patented by Elcoman: the Turbo Boost system. This unique system is equipping 4 selected KOBRA 240 models. By pressing the Turbo switch located on the top cover of the shredder the shredding capacity of the shredder is increased up to 52 sheets at a time thanks to an extra power available. A LED light indicates the availability of the extra Turbo power. Until now, the Turbo Boost system is available on KOBRA shredders only.



2003
- A new range of Heavy Duty rotary trimmers goes on production. Five different models are available in this range which has been designed to cut high thickness of paper.
- A complete new shredding technology is developed by Elcoman. A turbine working in conjunction with a high speed rotating blades allows the KOBRA Cyclone to shred up to 500 sheets of paper at a time as well as 45.000 CDs and Floppy Disks per hour. KOBRA Cyclone can also shred paper in different security levels, up to the High Security level, by easily changing an accessory of the machine whenever a different security level is needed.



2004
- The National Security Agency of the Federal US Government sets the stringiest standards for shredding of classified documents. The new NSA Standards require that a document is shredded in particles with the maximum size of 1 X 5 mm. The KOBRA 240 HS-6 and 260 HS-6 are among the first models to receive the official approval from NSA and to be listed in the official NSA list showing the approved shredder models for classified shredding operations.
- At Paperworld 2004 in Frankfurt the new KOBRA 240 Energy Smart Turbo shredders are introduced.



2005
- ELCOMAN introduces the "Energy Smart system". Each KOBRA shredder is now equipped with a microchip and a software which controls the energy consumption and turns the unit automatically into a zero power consumption in stand By mode. The Energy status of the machine is also shown by illuminated fibber optical indicators located on the top cover of the KOBRA shredder. This system fully complies with the latest environmental laws meeting the Kyoto protocol for reduction of carbon dioxide emission. Each KOBRA shredder equipped with the “Energy Smart” system saves up to Euro 20,00 of electrical power corresponding to a reduction of 65 Kg. of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
- ELCOMAN launches an innovative automatic oiler which is called "KOBRA ACCU-FLOW". The automatic oiler KOBRA "ACCU-FLOW" is especially suitable to work in conjunction with the High Security models of the KOBRA HS range. The KOBRA Accu-Flow oiler automatically lubricates the cutting knives of the shredder during the operation of the machine avoiding the operator to oil manually the cutting knives and maintaining the cutting knives of the shredder at the highest level of efficiency for the best shredding performances.
- Elcoman launches both in the Italian and in the International markets the new KOBRA 300 series which includes a variety of 6 different models equipped with a double motor driving technology for outstanding shredding performances and with the "Energy Smart" system for zero power consumption in Stand-by mode.
- Starting December, 05 models KOBRA 240 SS4, KOBRA 240 SS5 as well as the whole KOBRA 240 Turbo range are on delivery with a removable waste bin equipped with a special mechanism which allows the separation of the shredded Plastic material of CD ROMs and Floppy disks from the shredded paper.



2009
- The heads of States at the 2009 G8 Summit entrust KOBRA shredders to protect their documents.
The heads of States meeting at the G8 2009 Summit, to protect their documents, are using a special High Security KOBRA shredder which shreds a single sheet in 8.500 unreadable microchips.
